General System Update
The Schoolmaster Version 1.82b General System Update is a significant update to the Schoolmaster system. This version includes enhancements and updates to issues found in previous Schoolmaster versions. Some highlights of the new system include:

- Enhanced Core View Size – Optimized for screen resolution 1024 x 728 or larger
- Crosstab – Office of Civil Rights output format
- Adult Search When Adding a New Adult
- Gradebook Health Alerts Include “Allergic to” and “Medication Taken” Information
- Fee Statement – option to print to relationships marked to receive mailings
- SchoolReach / SchoolMessenger – staff demographic extracts
- Seating Chart – Randomize Option

Schoolmaster System Managers and Key Operators should review the General System Update Change Memo for a full, detailed list of all the enhancements and updates added in this version.

State Reporting Program Version 1.82b ~ Update
Schoolmaster’s AZ State Reporting Program has been updated to support recent changes to SAIS Reporting. When the core system is updated (above), the AZ State Reporting Program will be updated to Version 1.82b. You must update your Schoolmaster SIS for the State Reporting Program to function properly.

Schoolmaster Web Classroom Update ~ Build 2.10.0202
Web Classroom Build 2.10.0202 is available for download. Build 2.10.0202 contains changes to specific areas of functionality; including corrections and enhancements.

Funding Year 2011. USAC will release FY2011 Wave 33 Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs) February 14. This wave includes commitments for approved Priority 2 (Internal Connections and Basic Maintenance) requests at 90%. As of February 10, FY2011 commitments total just under $1.78 billion.

Funding Year 2010. USAC will release FY2010 Wave 85 FCDLs February 15. This wave can include commitments for approved Priority 2 services at all discount levels. As of February 10, FY2010 commitments total over $2.97 billion.

On the day the FCDLs are mailed, you can check to see if you have a commitment by using USAC’s Automated Search of Commitments tool.

State law requires schools to submit report cards to the Arizona Department of Education. Applications are available on the common logon, and are due on Friday, March 2 by 5 p.m. The school report card application is available only to school-level personnel. Submissions must include school addresses, mission statements and goals, instructional programs, safety and social services and school responsibilities. Find out more information in a Department memo sent on January 18. 

Online Learning Symposium

Sedona Oak Creek Unified School District is hosting an Online Learning Symposium on March 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Red Rock High School Performing Arts Center, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road in Sedona. The Symposium is aimed at teaching educators about creating successful online learning programs. Event participants have an opportunity to learn, share and network with other district and online learning personnel. Whether you are currently running an online program or charged with exploring or starting an online program, this event provides information about AOI best practices, applying for an building an online school, and expanding your brick and mortar schools to serve online students as well. 2012-13 Immunization Requirements and Conference

The Arizona Department of Health Services wants all schools to be aware of the 2012-13 immunization requirements. Schools are required to keep immunization records for all students. The Department is also hosting an annual immunization conference May 2-3. Find out more information here.
